Prevalence of Dentin Hypersensitivity in a Target Subjects in Hanoi, Vietnam

BACKGROUND: Dentin hypersensitivity (DH) is a short pain when dentin exposed to external stimuli such as: Thermal, vapor, rubbing, osmotic, or chemical without pathological any other dental defect and in normal teeth, that level of stimulation not sufficient cause pain. AIM: The aim this study was prevalence Hanoi, Vietnam, two groups (workers at Hanvico Company students University Medicine Pharmacy, VNU, Vietnam). MATERIALS AND METHODS: conducted on 500 subjects which consisted 288 workers 212 VNU. were examined intraorally diagnosed with vapor tactile using Yeaple Probe electronic probe. RESULTS: It found 20.4% no difference between men women. highest group 40–49 years age group. CONCLUSION: there moderate Vietnam. cervical wear, gingival shrinkage, diet high acid showed DH.
